My story

As the former co owner of Headquarters hairdressers in Exeter (now Peach), Tracey suffered severe hair loss after battling with breast cancer in 2014. Soon after her recovery, she began to research into a solution for her hair loss. She came across The Lauren Ashtyn Collection and was completely amazed by the hair transformations using hair extensions and hair pieces on women with thinning hair and hair loss. 

The Lauren Ashtyn Collection originates and is based in the United States, but as a hairdresser it was evident that there was and still is nothing else like them in the UK.

Tracey made the decision to fly out to Los Angeles where she purchased her very own custom fitted hair topper. It was clear that from the moment she first wore her Lauren Ashtyn hair piece, her life was transformed, and a whole new body of confidence was found. Tracey felt like she could get on with her day to day life knowing that nobody would ever know that it wasn’t her own hair due to the authenticity of the hair piece. Purchasing her own hair topper is without a doubt on of the best things she could have done and has had such a positive effect on her ever since.

Since Tracey’s journey of hair loss, she decided to bring the collection to the salon in Exeter, desperate to give the positivity and confidence gained from her hair piece to other women who suffer with thinning hair. Giving women the chance to feel like themselves again is priceless. In March 2020 she travelled to South Carolina to learn about the hair pieces, how to fit them, custom colour them and care for them. Now proud to be the only place in Europe to offer The Lauren Ashtyn Collection.
